As you probably know, there are two different buildings in our school, one quite far away from the other one. That's the reason why we don't see the littlest children in the school very often. Last Friday they visited us. They are 3 years old. They wrote their names on our new whiteboard, they visited our vegetable garden and they ate strawberries. We were very happy to see them. They are so little and cute. Thank you for your visit!
We are very excited about the prize. It's difficult to be the best in a competition but we work very hard day after day in our blog. We also have fun writing comments in other schools' blogs and we like learning things from other countries.
Our English teacher helps us a lot because she likes blogging.
Thank you to all the judges that decided that our blog was the best! For us being in the top ten was already a great success!
Thank you very much for the prize. We are very proud of our English Blog. It's a pitty that we can't go to Madrid to get our trophy. Going from Corçà to Madrid is very expensive and the school can't afford it.
In a few weeks we are going to celebrate the end of the school year with a big festival and a dinner with our families.
This year it's based on a school project related with health and food.
We usually sing and dance pop songs (some of them in English). But this year the teachers had a big problem: they couldn't find nice ones talking about food. So they asked us to change the lyrics of one of our favourite songs: Barbie girl.
This term we are going to learn about energies in our CLIL lessons. Last Friday we were working on stored energy and mechanical energy. We were using a piece of string and a lid.
These are the instructions our teachers gave us.
- a piece of string
- a lid
First, make two holes in the lid (like a button).
Put the string trough both holes and tie the ends into a knot.
Put both index fingers inside the string on the ends.
Wind up the string and begin to pull your fingers outwards.
Let your hands move with the string as the stores energy is converted into mechanical energy.
It was not easy to make the lid spin in the correct way but it was awesome when we did.
Our blog is a finalist in the Spanish Blog Contest: Premios Espiral de Edublogs 2011.
Thank you everyone who has helped to make our blog so awesome. Students, teachers, parents and all the schools all over the world: without your comments OUR ENGLISH BLOG wouldn't be as successful.
